Yu Tang received his B.Sc and M.Sc degree in Chemistry from Zhejiang University at Hangzhou, China. Now he is working with Dr. Franklin (Feng) Tao on the molecular level understanding of heterogenous catalysis. His research interests include understanding the methane conversion to syngas and oxygenates as well as biomass upgrading. The in-situ spectroscopy technologies such as ambient pressure XPS (AP-XPS) and X-ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy (XAFS) are widely used in his research as powerful tools to reveal the catalyst under reaction condition.
