Primary office:

Ziwei Song is a PhD student at the University of Kansas who is working towards becoming an accomplished researcher.  She expects to complete her PhD degree in summer 2018. Prior to joining KU, Ziwei worked as a process engineer for three years at National Engineering Research Center of Distillation Technology---NERCDT in China. Her curiosity about catalysis and reaction engineering motivated her to pursue advanced studies in these areas under the direction of Professor Raghunath Chaudhari. And for her PhD study, she mainly focus on two transesterifications, through which dimethyl carbonate and diphenyl carbonate can be synthesized, which are the two key intermediates of non-phosgene route to manufacture polycarbonate.
